Daryn Robinson (she/her) is a Chicago-based writer and performer originally from Washington, D.C. She currently understudies for The Second City National Touring Company, and has performed in the main cast of The Second City's Black Excellence Revue ,  She The People, and Improv Brunch. 

 

You can catch Daryn improvising around town with Baby Wants Candy: The Improvised Musical and Shamilton! The Improvised Hip-Hop Musical (Donny's Skybox at Second City) and Improvised Jane Austen and iO House Team "Birdlady" (iO Theater).

 

Notably, she co-produces the monthly all-Black comedy variety show My Best Friend is Black (The Lincoln Lodge), voted Chicago Reader's Best Comedy Show of 2023 and 2024!

 

Daryn recently graduated with an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from Northwestern University (Go Cats!), and she's been lucky enough to intern at some cool places like The Disney College Program and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
